You’ll need
- anything from around the house
- kitchen timer
- dried peas
- red towel or rug
- snow, or anything white: pillows, cotton wool, paper
- potatoes or oranges
Prepare beforehand
- Propel this pea the furthest distance: Lay a red towel or strip of rug at the far end of the garden.
Changes for playing at home
- Get to the microwave in as few steps as possible: Put a kitchen timer set to five minutes at the far end of the garden or park; reach it and switch it off in the fewest steps.
- Make the best snowman: Cut to 30 minutes; use snow if you have it, otherwise anything from around the house.
- Balance your swedes on your Swede: A standing volunteer is the 'Swede'; balance potatoes or oranges on them instead of heavy swedes.
