Prepare beforehand
- Get the duck into the bucket: Make a run from cardboard tubes, guttering or halved pool noodles (an adult does any cutting), ending at a bucket.
- Play these notes: The judge picks a short tune of five to eight notes.
- Put red clips on the blue spikes and blue rings on the red spikes: Set out red and blue pencils (or pens) stuck upright in play dough, and red and blue pegs or hair bands.
Changes for playing at home
- Get the duck into the bucket: Build your own pipe run from tubes or guttering.
- Play these notes: The judge plays the tune on a keyboard or app each time a player compliments or insults them.
- Put red clips on the blue spikes and blue rings on the red spikes: Use coloured pegs, hair bands and pencils instead of the show’s kit; wear a bike helmet.
