Play this episode at home
All 5 tasks can be played at home, about 1 hour 10 minutes of play.
You’ll need
- anything from around the house
- several big boxes
- phone or noisy toy
- pad of 16 A4 sheets
- pens
- task cards
- eggs
- bread and fillings
- play dough in three colours
- bucket
Prepare beforehand
- Correctly identify which bin Alex is in: Hide a phone (ringer on) or a noisy toy in one of several big boxes or laundry baskets; write the 'commandments' on a card.
- Draw a portrait of the Taskmaster using 16 A1 pages: Draw the layout diagram for how the 16 pages will be arranged.
- Say the word demeaning: Write a branching trail of task cards hidden round the house and garden (toaster, shed, doormat), with a few dead ends.
- Make a lovely little ball arrangement: Roll play-dough balls in yellow, red and blue.
Changes for playing at home
- Correctly identify which bin Alex is in: Hide a phone or toy, not a person; keep the gentle commandments (move, shake, listen, call) and drop the frying pan.
