You’ll need
- anything from around the house
- toy cat
- pineapple or smaller fruit
- baggy clothes
- paper
- pens
- cardboard boxes
- tape
- odds and ends
- crisps
- potato waffles

Prepare beforehand
- Rescue the cat (Series 2): An adult puts a toy cat somewhere awkward but reachable without climbing, and writes a 'missing' poster.
- Construct the best thing for the Taskmaster: Lay out cardboard boxes, tubes and odds and ends on a rug.
- Create the highest tower using only these potato-based items: Gather potato things: crisps, potato waffles, hash browns, raw potatoes.
Changes for playing at home
- Rescue the cat (Series 2): Place the cat somewhere tricky but low; no climbing to reach it.
- Conceal this pineapple on your person: Keep the pineapple whole (no knives), or use a smaller fruit; one person guesses where it's hidden.
- Set a fun task: Each player secretly writes a one-minute task; everyone does them and guesses who set which.
- Construct the best thing for the Taskmaster: Use boxes and household odds and ends instead of flat-pack furniture.
