You’ll need
- anything from around the house
- cups or boxes
- toy bears
- dressing-up clothes
- banned-word list
- opening-phrase cards
- ping-pong balls
- paper fans
- tape
Prepare beforehand
- Pick the right one: Set out sections of three or four cups or boxes, with a toy bear under one in each.
- Get a former contestant to say the phrase "hippo on a log with a purple wizard hat on": Write a list of banned words and some phrases every sentence must start with.
- Fan your ping pong ball around the racetrack: Make a racetrack on the floor with tape.
Changes for playing at home
- Pick the right one: One guess per section without touching anything.
- Write and perform an original one-minute scene to be included in an imagined musical about the life of Sherlock Holmes: Cut the hour to 30 minutes; each player takes a different part of Sherlock’s life.
