- megaphone or rolled paper
- a costume item, a snack and a prize per horse
- kitchen tongs
- ball or soft things
- milkshakes
- long straws
Prepare beforehand
- Get your Tom-horse to win the race: Each player needs a grown-up volunteer ‘horse’ and a short race course.
Changes for playing at home
- Wake Tom: A volunteer pretends to nap; wake them in the most creative (gentle) way.
- Get your Tom-horse to win the race: Grown-up volunteers are the horses; coach them to win with a name, a costume, a snack and a prize.
